Homework

"The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you."

Reading Comprehension and Spelling

Children need to read for 20 minutes every night and then talk about what they read with a parent or older sibling. Retelling what was read is a meaningful strategy that leads to deeper comprehension.

Spelling - Students need to practice their spelling words for a few minutes each night. Use spelling choice board or go to spellingcity.com/lalannan.

Math  Students NEED to practice math facts NIGHTLY either on xtramath.org or using simple flashcards. It only takes 5 minutes and is a third grade standard!
Assignments

Students are given time to work on assignments in class. Occasionally, they don't get the work completed and turned in by the end of the day. When this happens, students are to finish the work at home and turn it in the next morning.
